Yes, holistic implies the physical *BUT* it does not imply measurement of the physical. To make the distinction an integral model *does* imply the inclusion of measurement. No, one can never measure emotion, one can only *ever* measure the physical " correlates " of emotion or mind. And, what those correlates are will *always* be determined by people's opinions. I remember a big " psychoneouroimmunologist " (whatever) from yale giving a presentation on how he put electrodes on his subjects faces, showed them funny pictures, and claimed he was measuring " joy " . OY. What he was measureing was the electrical discharge of muscles in the face that may, in certain contexts, be correlated with the expression of joy.
