I defended a thesis proposal in front of the research faculty suggesting the possibility of using thermal imaging in conjunction with 5E and meridian theory to map functional relationships in the brain. The topic was on the Neural Innervation of the Shu Points which I presented also at the 2nd national conference on CM sponsered by TAI on Washington DC in '83. I was asked to leave the neuroscience program and did too pursue CM. At the time I mentioned the idea to Porkert who agreed then on this as one important direction for the synthesis of the sciences. So, if what you propse is viable in 20 years, it will be roughly 40 years from its inception (and I'm sure others had the idea though I could find no English literature on it at the time). This is actually a fantastic rate of change if one considers say the time between Leonardo da Vinci contemplating human flight and the Wright brothers implementing it. Time is speeding up. Still, from my perspective ego is the source of all internal syndrome patterns. When a person is whole, meaning One without a second, it will be known without a machine. And, the karmic momentum embodied after a lifetime of living egoically will still condition physiological process and hence such technology may yield important insights.
