Guest guest
Hi All, & Hi Vanessa & Andy Andy asked if Vanessa could rephrase the question, but I will comment on V's mail as it is: > ... there are thousands of AP points - chinese, tibetan and many > other masters, teachers, doctors using them as part of their > protocol practice with amazing effect, cookbook or not. My quesion > is: [Doesn't an AP point from the classic meridians or non-classic > meridians internal/external [belong] to an organized system... 1. Yes. IMO, all AP Points belong to (are part of and interact with) the whole body. The body is an organised system, ergo all AP points belong to an organised system However, I imagine the AP points as something more than points in a simple reflex/neural/endocrine complex. > ... an organised system, founded on a dimension beyond the > physical but with inter-relationships with all the other systems > within the body? > And if the answer is no, than why so many in the past and with at > least 80% of all written books, theories, principles are based on > the energetic dimension, accepted by these great masters, > teachers, doctors etc..? Vanessa IMO, whether yes or no, the following applies. I admit that it may be somewhat unorthodox, even the stuff od SciFi, as regards TCM Principles, but I believe it to be true: As ALL is ONE, and ONE is ALL, the body has only ONE CONTINUOUS INTERFACE between its External & Internal Environment. This BIOINTERFACE has one unique characteristic - it is lined with EPITHELIUM. Wherever there is epithelium, there is interface! All bodies develop from ONE fertilised cell. At fertilisation, the 1- cell zygote has a very simple and clearly delineated interface - the entire membrane of the single cell. Materially, all its life-support systems (and any external attacks) are transmitted via the maternal oviductal fluids. In every sense, it is a creature of WATER, later to become fish-like (with functioning gills!). The interface becomes more complex as the 1-cell zygote grows through the 2-, 4-, 8-, 16-, 32-, and 64-cell stage and moves down to the uterus-horn/body. At that point (pre-implantation), the more obvious part of its interface includes the multi-curved external (exposed) parts of the membranes of the clumped cells. But it is more than that! - BETWEEN the cells (they are not superglued together all-over!) lies empty space, filled with interstitial fluid. This fluid fills the gaps between the cells and acts as a " canal/passage " that bathes every part of the cell-nest and acts as a connecting- medium for all the cells. The surface interface (exposed part) actually connects (via the fluids) to the to hidden (not exposed) parts of the cell mambranes. Later, implantation and placentation occurs. The neural plate differentiates, sinks in, and closes over, forming the primitive brain and cord. Other cells differentiate into the primitive gastrointestinal tract, respiratory tract, urogenital tract, etc. The fish-like gills appear and the foetal membranes and placenta kick in. The urachus is patent and functional, via the umbilical cord. At this point the biointerface is very complex, with external and internal EPITHELIAL faces, ALL bathed by, or patent to, the foetal fluids. [Richard Freiberg, and others, have discussed the importance of the interstitial fluids as signalling media in the 3-D Jingluomai network. IMO, this interstitial " signalling medium " exists from, and after, the 2-cell stage of the zygote!] , Once born, the free-living body's interface (the BIOINTERFACE) between the interior and exterior environments loses the urachus and umbilical routes. For the rest of its life it then has FOUR major components, of which TCM recognises Xue-acupoints on only ONE!: (a) The skin, its exocrine glands, and its pores, as taught in TCM - what we usually call the keratinised dermis/epidermis - the visible skin; (b) The gastrointestinal tract, from lips to anus, guarded above by GV26, ST04 and CV24, and guarded below by GV01 and CV01. © The respiratory tract from nasal mucosa to alveoli) (d) ALL other EPITHELIAL surfaces and orifices - urogenital, ear- canal, eustacian tubes, sinuses, tympanum, etc., etc. NOTE that in THIS model, the skin is only ONE PART OF the CONTINUOUS INTERFACE. IMO, there are millions if not trillions of AP points on the interface, but TCM recognises and uses only a tiny fraction of them! The AP Points are the " leaky points " in the interface, like the holes in a sieve or filter. Between the holes lies the " solid " MATRIX (impenetrable part) of the filter/inteface. THROUGH a membrane/interface, ALL movement (in or out) is via the Xue (holes, pores, doors, tunnels, funnels, " leaky places " ). All movement between point A (outside) and point B (inside) depends on POTENTIAL DIFFERENCE (pressure/force, or differential). Things move from the higher to the lower pressure/potential. The movement can be MATERIAL (solid (nutrients, salts, ions, toxins, bacteria, viruses, antibodies, etc), LIQUID (water, sweat, urine, semen, etc) or gaseous (air, CO2, etc), or IMMATERIAL (energetic (Qi, EMFs, EPFs, etc), psychic (telepathic, telekinetic, etc), and spiritual (spirit-love/spirit-attack, etc). This model accepts that most materials and energies have PREFERENTIAL routes of movement across the interface. For example, saliva, urine and semen normally are discharged from the interior (their respective glands) to the exterior, via specialised ducts. It would be most unusual to find saliva on (or to have it leak through) the big toe, unless the players have unusual proclivities. Urine is rarely found in the jooints, but uric acid can be deposited there in pathological amounts. Semen is rarely found in the lumen of the oesophagus, or pass from there to the oesophageal muscle- layer, unless the players happen to be into deep-throat play. But fact is sometimes stranger than fiction ... Nurse-friends of mine who work in emergency/casualty wards have told me stories that most would not believe about the range of foreign bodies that they have seen in various human orifices. Life can be wierd. The body must live in Nature; it is influenced by (and influences) Nature. The EPFs (wind, cold, damp, etc) and other external forces - pathogenic or not (physical trauma, geopathic, telepathic, solar, lunar, planetary, man-made (radiation, EMFs, etc) - " leak INTO " the body mainly via the Xue. But they enter more easily if the Xue/pores are weak, slack, open, unguarded. IMO, it takes Qi to strengthen/close/guard the Xue - call it Weiqi or whatever. If the Weiqi is insufficient, the body is predisposed to external attack, esp if the FORCE of the attack is strong. However, Qi, heat, fluids and other light or condensed forms of energy/material (including psychic/spiritual energy) also " leak OUT " of the body. The Xue are major routes of such " leakage " . Such leakage will not be random, via random Xue. It will probably be quite specific - Xue related strongly to the affected organs or body parts will display the changes more that Xue related to normal parts and functions. IMO, the DIAGNOSTIC, PROGNOSTIC and FOLLOW-UP assessment aspects of future Holistic Medicine will be based on computerised scanning of the entire (internal and external) BIOINTERFACE to measure objectively the body's " leak patterns " and " leak ratios " between all scanned parts and " Zero Zones " (standard reference zones to be determined). The data will be displayed visually in a searchable sectionable 3-D HOLOGRAM. Multiple pre-programmed complex reiterative calculations will be used to highlight the problem zones, organs, channels etc. We will have automated detection of any imbalances - abnormal readings/ratios in the Zangfu, Jingluomai, Xu, Shi, Hot, Cold, Internal, External, YIn, Yang, etc. SUMMARY: The body's interface is the ENTIRE EPITHELIALISED surface, where movement inwards or outwards happens between the interior and exterior. That exchange or movement (material and energetic) occurs mainly, if not totally, at the " leaky places " - the holes/Xue. That model includes the specialised glandular & organ (epithelialised) ducts, which ALSO have myriads of leaky places. If one were to shine a bright light (or apply a sound signal) on one side of the interface, the Xue would be where the light shines through the brightest, or the sound breaks through the loudest. Each cell in the body has " leaky places " in its INDIVIDUAL membrane. When these " leaky places " align, or link up in a 3-D way (mediated by the extracellular fluids), there are preferential pathways from ANY ONE cell to ANY OTHER cell anywhere in the body, and from ANY ONE cell to ANY PART of the BIOINTERFACE - the body surface (internal or external). Therefore, IMO, there are myriads of Xue-Acupoints that the Chinese TCM system has not recognised yet. TCM has seen (and brought to humanity) much light (and strange sounde!), but it has not seen or heard it all yet. IMO, it will see the ENTIRE interface shine with light, and hear it sing with sound, sometime in the future! When we shall have developed the technology to measure the " leaks " in the system, we will have the possibility of automated energetic diagnosis, prognosis and reassessment after any given Tx. At THAT point, CM will have found its place as the leading actor on the biomedical stage. But then it shall be TCM no longeri; it will be truly MHM - Modern HOLISTIC Medicine. Best regards, Phil PS: CM HAS documented a few Xue INSIDE the body, notably in the upper-gum frenulum (GV28), under the tongue, on the hard palate, and in the clitoris (Yinti). [That point is used successfully in China to treat reproductive problems in cows; HOT (burning) laser is applied for a few seconds to burn Yinti (ouch!)]. But IMO, there are myriads of yet-undiscovered Xue on the internal epithelia of the body and the biointerface is much more extensive than the TCM texts describe.
