Guest guest
Hi Maya, > Most points are between .2-8 cun deep ... but some, like GB30 are > much deeper, for obvious reasons. Did you mean FEN or CUN? My longest needles for humans are only 3 cun. GB30 is more than 8 cun deep? I usually get marked Deqi from GB30 at depths of 2-3 cun, not 8. .. Hi Phil ... my post was supposed to read ".2-.8 cun" ("point two to point eight cun"). I double checked for the decimal point before sending my post, but must have had a glitch in my email or something .. or perhaps I am going blind. lol I did mean "cun". That said, I am not in the habit of using needles longer than 3 cun, but they do exist. I had a teacher from China that certainly used them, especially in the "needling through" technique. Not a technique I am fond of or use, for the record. My point text book when in school was the Deadman book. I realize that many here have sited the CAM book as their point of reference. This may be a source of some variance aside from the miscommunication/typo. Sorry for the confusion. Maya
