I was hoping there would be more of a " professional " input of e-

mails........let's hope this group does evolve in this direction and

that we can benefit from an exchange of " good " information.

........after all this is about uplifting and supporting TCM as a

profession.....up to this point there has been too much e-mail

traffic besically about NOTHING. Let's evolve!

Dear ?

Whoa.....I don't see ethics as a nothing issue and it sure

is highly necessary in the professional realm.   I also

want to see timely issues such as SARS (propaganda)

and folks opinions on such...I very much appreciated

all posters' 'two cents'.

I don't see chastising the group as anything uplifting.

Personally, when I find a group that does not meet

my needs I leave.  I don't expect a list to be

managing my e-mails for me.  I'm not sure

what you are expecting this evolution to be, but

but I have plenty of textbooks, periodicals and

search engines. I want to communicate with

other human beings in the field and whatever is

in their hearts and minds.

IMHO,  Kit

PS.  Are you the owner/moderator?

I find your reply to a reasonable request a bit righteous and demeaning. It is always a good idea to expect the best of people and if a person would like the group to go in a different direction, they have every right and responsibility to voice that niely.

This has nothing to do with what was asked.

I'm not sure what you are expecting this evolution to be,

I believe the gentleman requested more professional input. Seems pretty clear to me.

but but I have plenty of textbooks, periodicals and

I am glad you do. I am sure most of us do. I don't see how that has anything to do with the request for more professional input.

That may be well and nice for you. You have every right to state so. That does not mean anyone else shouldn't ask for what they want.

PS. Are you the owner/moderator?

Does it really matter? He asked for a reasonable thing. I happen to agree. You might ask yourself why a reasonable request would illicite a somewhat snotty post in return??

Thanks,

Chris

Yes....and I have the right to reply.

He called previous posts " NOTHING "

and he yelled it....in case you don't know

what caps mean in e-mails. That and

the rest of his post was chastising.

I saw nothing polite nor gentlemanly.

There's enough censorship going on

in this country to not have to put up

with it amoung the healing arts.

Let professional e-mails be posted and

let all others be posted also...it certainly

is about managing his e-mails when

he says " TOO (also yelled) many " .

Nothing obtuse about it, even.

He is trying to dictate to the list.

He only wants to hear what he wants

to hear and for everyone else to shut

up and not fill up his inbox!

If you both don't want to 'suffer' thru

others e-mails...that is your problem

to deal with.

Peace, Kit

I read the response to the comments regarding 'too many e-

mail' " ......and I think the reaction somewhat over the edge and

has nothing about " chastisiing the group " ,......what follows below

is my rsponse, agree or not, I thought it better (best) that we all

just try to give this thing a chance. If it offended anybody please

accept my apology,----after all we can all agree to disagree when

necessary! What follows below is a message I sent directly to

the person that seemed the most ofeended......which was not my

intention.....just my opinion..... and then a reaction!

Be well.

Dear Kit,

I'm sorry if my message seemed a little strong about " too many

e-mails " , but I found it overwhelming finding my inbox filled with

things that were really not that important nor relevant to the

profession. For example the comments re: SARS were really a

little over the edge. I am a TCM practitioner with over 22+ years

experience living and dealing with this in Toronto (Sars capital of

North America as it has been referred to by the US media), and I

do agree the media is having a hey-day with this one, but there is

also the whole other side of uninfected but affected people that it

has taken a toll on. I guess my expectations for the posting(s)

would be more along the lines of sharing of professional

information.....and not just one of an in-box filled with little

clinically or professionally relevant information.....hopefully as

time foes along there will be positive changes,........until then I

have found a way to read the e-mail at the site at my leisure, and

I guess that is what works best for me at this time and also

where this group is at.

Thanks for at least reading this,
