Guest guest
I don't charge more for when I use the expensive herbs, but then I rarely make a formula that is more than 15% one of the pricy herbs. My formula's mark-up is significant and so I don't feel the need to count pennies when I'm charging dollars. Also, I avoid the really really expensive herbs in extract form and opt for the ground up version at times. When I do this, I have to remember to use much more of the herb to achieve a balanced efficacy with the other ingredients. Examples of the herbs I use like this include Hu Po and Chuan Bei Mu. -al.
