Where can we buy Red Yeasts?

Here is an email from the Pharmnex study researchers on red yeast rise

There were 1.5 mg of Monacolin K or lovastatin in the 300 mg red yeast and

rice capsule and subjects took four per day. They resulted in a lowering of

cholesterol of 20% which would correspond to 20 mg mevacor so we think the

other monacolins or other substances were active. DH

There is an indian herb called guggul. However, I couldn't recommend

a particular brand. I was searching for something until I found out

my overall cholesterol was borderline because my good cholesterol is

very high and my bad cholesterol is normal.

 

I'm hoping next time I go to my MD, lifestyle changes will bring my

ldl down a bit more so my overall is in the target range.
