Guest guest
Could anyone tell me the differentiation for oedema of the legs - fluid on the ankles? Possibilities? And hypersensitivities, like multiple allergies - does that have a place in TCM? Thanks Jackie

Many people using if for menopause symptoms are having a bad reaction. It took a while to figure out it was the GMO Soya. They had no problems when switched to an organic form of soy supplements. If your horse is sensitive to foods and plants look to the source of production of you can for all of them. It could also be something they sprayed on the feed to preserve or perhaps it was also near pesticides and fertilizers. You might desire to also check to see if some of the other formulas you have given are having some kind of adverse effect on the horse. What > do you mean by warm edema? The leg feels hot to the touch or you feel the edema > is cause by a heat condition? It's just the horse again. We're having exactly the same trouble finding a Kd formula to suit him, like the Lv formula. Adverse reaction to a 'balanced' Kd formula, and a yin kd formula, and I am just about to try a real heat-clearing kd formula used for Cushings. No-one has any other ideas really. He still does not have heat signs such as sweating or drinking a lot, just the opposite - he is anhydrotic and drinks little. But, his work intolerance goes very high in hot weather (UK hot that is - only into the 70's) and inflammation/ischemia in the feet is very hard to avoid. Now I also have puffy over-warm ankles and sometimes feet. Is anhydrosis connected to anything in particular in TCM? I am told sweat is the fluid of the heart, but that the lungs control the opening of the pores? But he has always been quite sensitive to feed/plant allergens too. I just used some soya for the first time in a year, and it could be a reaction to that, though he never had one before. Jackie

Same as previously used - it is Brazilian soya, but I stopped it just in case. Things I know he reacts to, like buttercup and clover, are in the organic grass he is eating in the pasture. > You might desire to also check to see if some of the other formulas you have > given are having some kind of adverse effect on the horse. Only on the Lv/Sp base formula at the moment - he's been great on that for months. He is having to stay in more than is good for a horse at the moment, which is a large part of it - that can't help the Lv situation, but it also seems connected with summer heat, and I was wondering what the TCM differentials were - if it was a heat problem. Q: If you have damp and heat, do you have damp heat?? Jackie

Guest guest
Dear Tanveer, Electronic massage is a very good way to stimulate skin tissues, muscles, nerves, and the other parts of the body in to action. If you massage the body it should include the whole body because everything is connected to something inside of your body. The reason we do reflexology is to stimulate the liver, kidneys, heart, and other parts of the body inside our bodies. Why? Because they need stimulation and exercise also just like the outside of our body. Why do we exercise our body? To stimulate actions in our bodies that are beneficial to the whole. The same is true with exercising or stimulating our insides as mentioned above, to strengthen them. I have found electronic massage a boon to my health and solidness of body. Of course each case is different, but I have not known anyone to have lost anything through massage electronic or otherwise. Sincerely Ray Tanveer Rauf <ammi_pk wrote: Hi, can anyone please enlighten me that is electronic massager good for giving treatment of acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping etc. does it have any negatve side effects on body or health both physically and mentally. the machine we use has all these functions. t has paste mats to paste on aching body parts and start the machine. the vibrations act on principle of " PUMP ACTION " I just want to be very sure. thank you, regards tanveer SacredQi888 wrote: In a message dated 7/8/03 4:37:42 PM Eastern Daylight Time, jackie writes: > But he has always been quite sensitive to feed/plant allergens too.
