Guest guest
Let's try a cost comparison for TCM and western medicine. Let's say a patient has been diagnosed with liver cancer. A TCM doctor might prescribe herbs and diet along with accu-treatments that might last up to a year or more with a rest period in between. A TCM doctor would test for yin/yang imbalances by using test points and pulses and slowly but surely the cancer would more than likely stop and heal. A western medical doctor would prescribe drugs and radiation treatments. The western treatment is designed to do basically the same thing as the TCM treatment but the western treatment would take less time presumably, yet with an aftereffect with regards to the Radiation or chemothereapy. The radiation burns away the bad cell growth and allows the body to start fresh with new cells that are healthier. The TCM treatment does the same thing but at a slower pace perhaps. The costs would be different it seems to me. TCM would be cheaper but with more of a commitment from the patient in terms of time spent at the doctors office. Both treatments have the same goal, to stop bad cell growth and to heal the patient.
