Guest guest
Acupuncture And Common Cold Clinical Research On Acupuncture There's a lot of theories that explain how the exogenous factors affect the human body, based on those, acupuncture doctors give us lots of treatments to deal with the cold symptoms, but not all the people get heal all of the time, the exogenous factors " recovers " itself defeating our body resistance, getting chronic. The question is, what to do when chronic situations like this gets out of control, and all acupuncture treatments are short of success. Case #1. Myself is the best case for this article, years ago when the chronic disease develop, after many months of inept allopathic " medicine " , I decided to attend an acupuncturist, the results were great, due to that I kept attending the same doctor each time the seasonal changes took place. Until the treatments started failing to provide healing, acupuncture became an obsolete treatment. It was a time to try luck on homeopathic medicine, at first worked, but not a 100%, and a lot of suffering, there was an obvious problem with my system I didn't understand. So I went to acupuncturist prescriptions including those of doctors (DOM's), Wei Liu, Skya Gardner, John Amaro, etc, also read many articles on the subject, like our own Victoria Dragon, but still the final point was no cure, as the many people that suffers the same condition as me. All I could get is a relatively control of the symptoms, which at the bottom point ended up out of control. Tired of reading and trying new treatments, one day remembering how I've cured myself years ago, decided to give it another try, as the last effort. Description of " Treatment " The weather here in Tijuana is very humid and cold, so that's where the medicine should come. One day I started to feel sneezing a lot, with a runny nose, and a clear natural rejection to the cold weather, So I went out of house with short clothes took a six pack of good Mexican beer, and exposed to the weather started to drink the chilled (at the most) beers, after a while the sneezing was over and no runny nose, a characterizing tremor inside told me the body was reacting, although my nose was cold, humid obvious, but not runny, the climate was very cold, plus the effect of the cold beers were working. Next day at morning, at get up of bed, the sneezing started to hit hard again, then it was the moment to start the " fiesta " again, one chilled beer did all the job, no more sneezing no runny nose. I have to say that this was not done with the pretext to drink or get drunk, I'm not an alcoholic. At this point I decided to apply the cold therapy every while, like the poison allopathic " medicine " on a period of hours, drinking not only beers anymore, soda with lots of ice cubes, ice cream, staying on the outside with few outfit, breathing the cold breeze, showers must to be tacking with cold water, walking naked feet facing the cold floors. (This last you may call it " cold " reflexology, moxa forbidden.) By this " treatment " I was forcing my body to heat up by itself, learning in the process to adjust at the weather in and outside, controlling its temperature, etc. Few more days and the symptoms were decreasing slower and slower, seems like I was winning over this yang deficiency. ¿Why so many acupuncture treatments did nothing to correct this yang deficiency, -as in many other people that's affected with this chronic illness- yet this " cold treatment " did all the job?. The body –as I saw in the developing healing process, enters into a special condition which I'm not sure how to describe it, but it's a strange feeling on to the system, it's clear you sense it, like there's something going on, you can't tell what it is, but there's a process that makes you feel rare. This is a case that's should be taken to account by the advance clinical research on acupuncture, many people may be cured if found a right treatment. ¿What took place over my system, over the process of self healing? ¿Why didn't acupuncture helped anymore? ¿Can a (DOM) doctor design a new kind of treatment, based on the experience showed on this article? The human body is an enigma, still waiting to be decipher, this is a good case for clinical research on acupuncture, I'm currently better, only when I get up from bed, I feel a little sneezing, as it comes, goes away fast and for sure. Let me know of your success.

Guest guest
> acupuncture can do it alone, Not always. For example, for certain serious blood disorders herbs are the preferred method of treatment. When acupuncture is used in those cases it's strictly as an adjunct. It depends on what the condition is as well as some other factors like how long the person has been sick, the particular imbalances, if the problems are " knotty " (complex), etc. Sometimes herbs work best, sometimes acupuncture (or even acupressure) works best, and sometimes a combinaiton is needed.
