Guest guest Posted February 9, 2003 Report Share Posted February 9, 2003 Another question - if a person (or a horse!) being treated with Qi tonics lost a lot of liquid weight - would that necessarily mean there had been some damp accumulation? There were some herbs with damp moving capability in the formula (Fu Ling, Chen Pi, Bai Zhu). I shed a load of water, but then I was being treated for phlegm-damp anyway. The horse shed a couple of inches round the girth which was no way fat loss (the weigh tape would suggest a 40kg weight loss, but he just hasn't lost fat, so it must be bloat or retained water I think.)
