The Bush White House has an " opinion " line for you to call. So call and give your opinion of the proposed war in Iraq. The line only accepts calls from 9-5 EST., Monday thru Friday. Just call the White House at 202-456-1111. A machine will detain you for only a moment and then a pleasant live operator will thank you for saying " I oppose " or " I approve. " It will only take minutes. Note that the weekends are closed for calls. The president has said that he wants to know what the American people are thinking. Let him know. Time is running out. Then please forward this e-mail to at least five people right away. I think the Earth presidents don't think but only to their interests. They want and have money, power, everything they want, even much more than an usual human being wants and need in his whole life. I want the Presidents to leave us alone with their interests in petrol, money, measles, drugs and other mizerable businesses! I want a world where all the people to LOVE each other, without rasial or sex differencies! Why the Presidents don't fight personally with each other? Why the greatest and the powerful countries want more and more? I want a world where my kids to play and learn in peace with other children! Are you agreeing with this war? I hope NOT! What is the fault of the Irakian population beside America? Why is the fault of the Americans beside Irak or other countries, like Vietnam, Yugoslavia? You know, I'm Romanian, I live in my beautiful country, full of traditional folk songs, love, a wonderful history and with more wonderful people! Our immage is dirty in this world because of our present miserable gouvernment, like yours! Do you know how is presented America in Europe? On one side, full of misery, dirty people, thieves, criminals, addicted to drugs, families who are not united (no matter their sex or rase), and on the other side, the powerful people who are living in the greatest villas on the Earth, and who are making affairs with uncertain people, maybe in connection with Mafia, measle businesses, and who are living a life non-spiritual. On the contrary, even American or we, the Romanians, are presented in this way, I know that we all are the same species of people, who know to love, to sing, to make a poem, to befriend with each other and who have his own daily problems with their health, financial didficulties, with theri families. Why we don't try to love each other as the way we are? I hope the humanity will have the wisdom to be in opposition with the American President, to be against the WAR wherever it would be! Guest guest Posted February 7, 2003 Report Share Posted February 7, 2003 Monica, thank you for your post, I agree with you all the way, our business is to help people balance themselves so as to be able to live a healthy, harmonic and sane life, we may not be able to stop those who have vested interests in war and domination, but I believe our modest contribution does make a difference in this world, balancing disharmonised Shen(mind-spirit) and reducing the stresses people create and do not know most of the time how to handle. There are more virtues in this Universe that I don't quote now and, of course, we have to make all our best to gain them for the benefit of the entire Universe's balance. I also hope that my soul together with the Romanians' souls are felt by the Americans, speaking in a spiritual way, in their decisions against the war. Even we are different nationalities we have to have the same goals for a better world. Unfortunately, reading our newspapers, I see that your President with his gouvern is sustained in their politics by the most of the world gouvernments to begin the war against Irak... How it's possible that? You said your President asked the Americans' oppinios. Does the American nation want this horrible action? Please, tell me. I'm very curious to find out what is the American nation think and feel. About Romania, what can I say to you? In the Ceausescu's regime I wasn't too happy, because were some difficulties in our everyday lives, such as infinite rows to buy milk, eggs, meat, lemmon, etc. But our Education was for free (every child and young people had the access to a good and complexe education), Health care was for free (every man had the right and the possibility to be healed in the most conveniable conditions), our Romanian Army was very developed (we were very appreciated by the Russian and German Armies, for example - I know that because my father, who died in 1999, was a remarcable officer of the Romanian Army); also, every person in Romania has the possibility to go in weekends or in holidays at the seaside or to the mountain to relax their bodies and souls; the young tallents were promoted as their real value, a.s.o..... Since 1989 (after the Romanian Revolution - which was, in fact, a state " stroke " ) our life standards begun to be lower and lower. Our people begin to die by hunger, illnesses, stress, many peoples begin to sell their interior organs for money for everyday living; the present ministry of education distroyed its system; the Army was destroyed by dirty interests; the costs for monthly thermoenergy (for heating our houses) are more than our salary. One Romanian's salary vary between 20-200 USD. The Ministry of Health isn't assure any more the necessary medications for our people. For eg., my mother is very ill. She has to get many drugs each month, such as: Plavix (3,500,000 Lei = 120 USD); Zocor (1,500,000 Lei = aprox.75 USD); Preductal (700,000 Lei = 25 USD), a.s.o.; consequently, the approximative total amount is rising at 300 USD/month in comparisson with her monthly pension which is about 2,400,000 Lei = under 100 USD. The monthly taxes are for about 4,000,000 Lei !!!! And my mother is only a minor example of our present living style!... there are Romanians (as I have read in the yesterday newspaper) who doesn't have any more the necessary clothes or shoes for winter season... The conclusion: why was denigrate our ex-leader, thinking he is the most evil man in our history and then, the people who killed him and succceeded to present Power are the worst and the most miserable beings on this Earth? They became the most powerful and rich in our country, are laughing of us, are corrupted!!! Where is the Justice? I am awaiting the Divine Justice, but I don't want our people to be destroyed by them until the Divine Justice will action. Of course, my oppinion is the same speaking globally.
