I was wondering if there are practitioners with positive experiences treating Narcolepsy, Sleep Apnea, and restless leg disorder. I have a new patient with all three. He is 31 and has been medicated for Narcolepsy for 4 years, and sleeps with an Oxygen machine to help with the Apnea. For now, I am just treating what I see, however his tongue shows every condition in the book. So I'm planning on starting with the lower jiao phlegm, even though he is very lung chi xu.I have researched some texts and found a little info under "Somnolence", but that's about it. Can anyone point me to a more thorough source? Or can anyone throw down some senior practitioner experience on these conditions?Thank you very much,Drew Taylor

Hi !

This is not a TCM-answer. I have also narcolepsy and used quite a lot of medicines before. After the dentist removed all the amalgam in my teeth I have not taken a single tablet. The narcolepsy isn't all gone, but if I take care of myself and rest when I feel for it, I am O.K. Maybe this can help your patient too?
