There are times during the day when certain Organs will exhibit their most acute symptoms. (The Layman's Guide to Acupuncture, Yoshio Manaka, M.D., Ian A. Urqahart, Ph.D., p.78. The other times are: 9 pm to 11 pm - Triple Heater (San Jiao) 11 pm to 1 am - Gall Bladder 1 am to 3 am - Liver 3 am to 5 am - Lungs 5 am to 7 am - Large Intestine 7 am to 9 am - Stomach 9 am to 11 am - Spleen 11 am to 1 pm - Heart 1 pm to 3 pm - Small Intestine 3 pm to 5 pm - Bladder 5 pm to 7 pm - Kidneys In some cases treatment will not work unless it is performed at a certain time of day. (BTW, I saw on the news the other day that Western medicine is now looking at the difference the timing of the treatment can make.) There also is an alternative viewpoint to what the time of day means. I don't understand it well enough to do it justice. There are some posts in the message base by a poster who has studied it. Do searches for time, am, pm, etc. Victoria
