I need to clarify what I wrote here. Though Liver Yang may be

rising, that does not mean that the rest of the body has enough

Yang. In other words a person can suffer from Kidney Yang Deficiency

or Spleen Yang Deficiency and also suffer from Liver Yang Rising.

This is even more likely in the case of Kidney Yang Deficiency.

Why? Because the Kidneys supply both Yang and Yin to the rest of the

body. If one is Deficient, the other also will be Deficient though

to a lesser extent. In other words, if the person is Kidney Yang

Deficient, there almost is certain Kidney Yin Deficiency too (though

the Kidney Yang Deficiency may be severe enough to mask the symptoms

and signs of the Kidney Yin Deficiency). In time, that Kidney Yin

Deficiency will lead to Liver Yin Deficiency. In order for Liver

Yang to Rise, Liver Yin has to be Deficient.
