Guest guest
Pericardium 6: > Is this point in the inside of your arm, just above the wrist? Yes. An easy way to find it is to bend the hand at the wrist - an L shape. Place your ring finger on top of the hand. Triple Heater 5 is two and a half finger-widths up from the hand between the bones on the outside of the arm, and Pericardium 6 is two and a half fingerwidths up from the hand between the bones on the inside of the hand. (The Triple Heater is a Yang meridian and is on the outside of the arm; the Pericardium is a Yin meridian and is on the inside of the arm. I use the Gach suggestion for bending the hand at the wrist because sometimes all the lines across the wrist can be confusing as to where the hand ends and the wrist begins. In Acupressure's Potent Points, Michael Reed Gach recommends holding both TH 5 and Pericardium 6 at the same time in order to balance the immune system. They are opposite each other. It's also easier for me to find TH5 first. I can't remember if TH 5 or Pericardium 6 are two of the points Gach shows in the article section (sample chapters from his book) on his acupressure.com website. Guest guest
I see.. They did this point (among a few others) on me the other day because I had woken up slightly nauseated that day and still was at the appointment. > Pericardium 6: > > > Is this point in the inside of your arm, just above the wrist? > > Yes. Which brings up another point. Always tell your TCM healer every symptom, no matter how slight you may think it is. Did it help the nausea?
