Guest guest
Hi, Can anyone recommend a good book on general nutrition? A book that tells you what to eat for a healthy lifestyle. Not just for specific healing challenges. A book that is in harmony with the Oriental wisdoms of healing, philosophy, exercise, etc. Paul Pitchford's " Healing with Whole Foods, Oriental Traditions and Modern Nutrition " has been mentioned as a good book. But, the context then was healing-tools. Is it also a good book for general advice on a healthy diet? Thanks and best wishes. John
Guest guest
One of the most balanced nutrition books I've ever read was Nutrition Made Simple by Robert Crayhon. I also like Sally Fallon's Nourishing Traditions. " Good healthy diet " depends on what you believe to be true for your body. Guest guest
John, I've recently picked up Healing with Whole Foods, based on the recommendations here and elsewhere, and yes it is very ,VERY detailed in regard to healing, but I find it also helpful in general nutrition as well, since the book goes into detail on the cause and effects of what we eat and why.....keep in mind I have alot to read through in the book, but so far it has answered alot of questions healing and nutrition wise... -Curtis Chinese Traditional Medicine, " john2williams " <john2williams> wrote: > > > Hi, > > Can anyone recommend a good book on general nutrition? In addition to the sections that deal with the five element types and illnesses as a result of imbalance, it also has chapters on proteins, fats, nutrients and how best to get these in your diet. sue Health - Feel better, live better http://health. It's simplified yet to the point. Lynn
