1-st level, Tai Yang: Bladder and Small Intestine;

2-nd level, Shao Yang: Gallbladder and Triple Burner;

3-rd level, Yang Ming: Stomach and Large Intestine;

4-th level, Tai Yin: Spleen and Lung;

5-th level, Jue Yin: Liver and Pericardium;

6-th level, Shao Yin: Kidney and Heart;

The Yang stages are fairly active. The body starts to shut down and

wear down in the Yin stages.

Look at that 4th stage - Tai Yin: Spleen and Lungs. The Spleen and

Lungs are the two Organs most responsible for Qi. When the Spleen

and Lungs start to be affected and weakened, the body no longer is

getting enough Qi. Look at that 6th. stage (listed as the 5th in

some texts). The Kidneys supply the Yang and Yin for the rest of the

body. Anytime an illness affects the Kidneys, there are major

problems. The Yang can collapse.

There are disagreements about which is the most serious, the Jue Yin

or the Shao Yin stage. They both are extremely serious. The body is

giving out and can fight less and less.

Sometimes a person may be able to marshall enough help that the

person remains stuck in one of the Yin stages for years instead of

progressing on to death. Some cases of Chronic Fatigue Immune

Dysfunction Syndrome ( CFIDS ) are due to an unresolved infection

from years before. The infection may have abated, but the person is

still stuck in the Yin stages. When these people do get the help

they need, they often will descibe their improvement in health like

backing up through symptoms.
