Guest guest
Thank you for alerting us that such a thing could and does happen. It came as a real eye opener to my Asian coworkers at my totally nonmedical mundane job (where I will be for 3 years 9 months more until I reach retirement age) that I don't approach Asian medicine as a folk medicine treating symptoms without diagnosis. I assume that what happened to the man mentioned in the article was the result of an arbitrary devised folk medicine treatment and was not being monitored by a trained Asian Medicine practitioner. Sadly, Western trained M.D.s see this happen and are ready to throw the baby out with the bathwater. Such a paradox! The story is long and, well, you get the picture.
