Are there any external or internal herb formulas that would be helpful? I am an acupuncturist, but did not study Chinese herbs. Thank you very much for any response! For those of you who just tuned in, this is a remedy for warts/skintags, and probably minor external cysts too, since I think that's actually what I had...before it fell off! That's right, a total of six days of garlic-slabbing and the thing's given up the ghost. I had to stop for two days once, mainly because putting a band-aid in the same place every night was starting to tear up my skin (which is rather sensitive, being on the back of my neck and all). There's still a little bit of the skin-taggy thing hanging on, which I expect will probably come off tonight. All in all, a great cure! Easy, cheap, painless (though it did bleed a bit when it came off) and wonderfully effective. Some caveats that Sara's discovered relating to the garlic-slab cure: 1. Use a piece of garlic only a bit bigger than the wart/whatever you're trying to get rid of. The garlic is slightly irritating to healthy skin(at least mine); some people say it might burn you. So try not to let it stay pressed against your actual skin. 2. Take a break if the band-aids get to you, like I did (I didn't find that taking a few days off made any difference except to let my neck-skin heal). 3. You might want to do this while on a cleanse...I didn't, and as a result of the garlic's detoxifying nature, I now have four of those " wen " s (what I call " WTF " s) in my neck. They're painless and will go away with application of Deep Tissue Repair Oil, but if you were on a cleanse you wouldn't get them (because the toxins would be flushed out). These wens are caused by toxins that were bound up in your system (like your skin); when those are released, the body surrounds the toxin with a little fluid sac to keep it from causing trouble. And you have a bump. So: Beware; garlic detoxifies. Hope this is helpful to someone. I'm just so glad to have that thing off the back of my neck...I can wear a necklace again! I was told I would either have to get it burned/frozen/whacked off (to the tune of several hundred dollars!) or live with it forever. Yeah, well, nyah nyah allopaths!! Thanks all. --Sara T. Keep in mind that melting a wart compromises the skin's integrety. There is potential for infection if not kept covered. And if the Ya Dan Zi gets on the healthy skin it can be irritating. Get some Ya Dan Zi, grind it into a coarse powder. Rub some vasaline on the wart and rub the herb on to the wart. Making it bleed a little bit is okay. Carefully wipe the herb off of the surrounding skin but leave it on the wart. Cover with a bandaid. Repeat daily for five days. It will help burn away the wart, but if your not carefull it could irritate and burn the surrounding tissues. I'm assuming this is for your neice and nephew- I don't kow how young they are but make sure that they tell you if it's burning them, and don't let them take any internally.
