I am an insulin dependent diabetic and I have often wondered what effect

injecting several times a day would have, especially when I realised I was

injecting on the Spleen meridian most of the time.

I asked my TCM doc about ear piercing / tattooing, he said in what he

was taught, ear piercing is not seen as particularly good, as most

ppl pierce in the lobe which contains some important points.

Tattooing he said isn't as " serious " since there is only

temporary " damage " to the area, where in a piercing, thats a

perminent hole/damage. I guess injections would fall under similar

guidelines as it is not a perminent scarred opening

I'm not sure what book I read it in; but I remember it telling a story of how pirates went to the Orient and learned about points in the ear- The "Eye" point (which is located where one would wear an earring) was utelized by pirates so the could see better. That's an intesesting story of how the earring became fashion isn't it?

Games - play chess, backgammon, pool and more

On the lighter side.

That must be why pirates are reported to say "Aye Matey"

They are used just like pressballs, applied with a small piece of tape. They are

somewhat irritating on their own, so it is easier to rub and irritate the

points. They also have a channel opening quality, which would probably also

influence their function. I suspect the main reason they are used is that they

are cheaper and easier to find in China than thousands of miniscule magnetic

ball-bearings.
