greetings,

i was wondering if anyone on this list has any ideas about cervical dysplasia (causes, diagnoses, treatments)? i know that conventional medical care in the u.s. calls for removal of the abnormal cells via freezing, burning, or laser, but i was wondering what other options might exist?

thanks so much for any insight....

Hi, here are answers:

causes:

blood stagnation

blood deficiency

qi stagnation

qi deficiency

Liver/kidney/spleen deficiency

Imbalance of Chong-/Ren-channel

Phlegm accumulation

some of the above intermix, lead to each other depending on stage and

constitution, and lead to displasia

(for example:

liverQi stagnation leads to Qi stagnation leads to blood stagnation

together with constitutional SpleenKidney deficiency leads to phlegm

accumulation uses up liver blood leading to liver deficiency)

amount/percentage of these imbalances are diagnosed and shows the

therapeutical actions

Treatment would be herbals mainly.

depending on the diagnosis:

-Tumor dissolving

-Phlegm eliminating

-bloodclots removing

-tonifying

herbal drugs will be used

Teachings/guidelines can be found in TCMGynecology (treatment via

bleeding-disorders) and TCMSurgery-books (treatment via tumorology).

Greetings Tay
