In Western medicine pain in the right side under the ribcage and pain in the

right shoulder can be symptoms of gall bladder attack. Because of the

pathway of the nerves, the pain in the gall bladder area is " referred " to

and felt in the right shoulder.

In the case of gall bladder attack, the bones in the right shoulder are in

the normal positions but there is nausea and vomiting. The pain in the right

side can be intense if the person is starting to pass a gall stone.
