Guest guest
Here is the table of contents for the lastest issue of Blue Poppy Journal. I was particularly interested in the article on Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Cupping. I can tell you from experience that many of the points he lists - especially Bladder 23 has helped me greatly. But I have been using acupressure, massage, and a heating pad on the points. I may see if my husband is willing to learn cupping as it's hard to cup one's own back. For those new to TCM, cupping is a special technique for working acupoints. Use a small glass or cup (not paper or plastic which will burn). Burn the oxygen out of the cup by placing a burning piece of cotton held on a pair of tweezers into the cup. When the oxygen is gone, immediately place the cup over the acupressure point. Because there is no air in the cup, this creates suction. The area will become very red from increased blood flow. I noticed a number of articles in this issue which will be of interest to various people on the list. For example, there is an article on pediatric hyperactivity and ear acupoints. There's another article on Restless Leg Syndrome, or as it's called here, Restless Extremity Syndrome. Etc.
