This is a book I've recommended on here before.

It has some detailed information about the lack of sweating as well as

sweating.

For those new to TCM, Yuan Qi is Original Qi. " Original Qi is like Essence

in 'Qi' form. " (Giovanni Maciocia, The Foundations of ,

p.42.) The important thing to remember about Yuan Qi is that it forms the

basis for Kidney Qi and is " closely related to all the Kidneys functional

activities. " It also " is closely related to the Gate of Vitality and shares

its role of provding the heat necessary to all the body's functional

activities. " (Maciocia, p. 42.) Yuan Qi (Original Qi) also plays a role in

Fluid physiology as well as some other important roles.
