Hi, hydrocele is called 'shui-shan' in TCM. I would suggest trying herbals as many other tiny diseases you might have might disappear together with the shanshui. There are 3 basic syndroms: 1) Cold-damp on a deficient kidney-basis ( the bodyfluid circulation is stagnant) -testes have cold-symptoms -urine is clear and takes long (cold and deficiency symptoms) -cold feeling and pain in back and knees -can develop from a longstanding untreated 2) syndrom therapy: BaojianDanguiSiniTang-formula 2) damp-heat in Liver-meridian -testes and urine show damp and heat symptoms use LongdanXieganTang-formula 3) accumulated clotted blood -after tumourous/traumatic lesions use HuoxueSanYuTang-formula A wrong diagnosis might lead to side effects and in worst case might aggravate it temporarily, if you give nourishing and heating herbals in a damp-heat syndrom, that would be wrong. But actually any proficient doctor should differentiate easily between 1) and 2). Above information can be found in books which headlines are translated as: " Surgery in TCM " (ZhongYi Wai-ke), which is a WRONG translation, and maybe thats why there are still no translations of these kind of books. You dont want 'surgery lessons' from 2000 year old books, do you?. Wai-Ke includes: Boils, sores, snake bites, skin+hair+veneral diseases, breast-tumors, goiter, lymphnodules, proctology, andrology. Now *you* find a good translation for 'Wai-ke', I suggest 'Outer'- ology. Greetings Tay.

Guest guest
My sons friend has same problem. He is needle phobic and won't take herbs. His feet were always like ice. I have been treating his hydrocel with moxa to the liver meridian. It is much smaller and according to him less painful. - suresh deshpande Chinese Traditional Medicine Saturday, December 29, 2001 1:11 PM Re: [Chinese Traditional Medicine] Hydrocele-therapy and listing of what is Wai-ke (Outer-ology) Hi Tay ,Thanks for the help.I think my case fits into 1st syndrome.Warm regardsSuresh--- tayfx <aajohansen wrote:> suresh deshpande wrote> > Hi,> > > > I am sending this mail to you, as I did not get> any> > answer or solution to my problem which I had> posted to> > Chinese Healing Gr on 6th Oct, 2001.> > > > I am having Hydrocele problem since last 15> years. It> > is on the right testicle. > > Can you suggest any treatment in TCM as I am told> by> > the doctors that Surgery is the only remedy.> > >May I know the right treatment for "Hydrocele " in> TCM> >as I am having this problem for last 15 years and> on> >right testicle.> > >Can TCM cure Hydrocele?> >I was told that surgery is the only remedy for the> >same.> >It would be really helpful if someone can help in> this> >regards.> > > > > > Hi, hydrocele is called 'shui-shan' in TCM.> I would suggest trying herbals as many other tiny> diseases you might > have might disappear together with the shanshui.> > There are 3 basic syndroms:> 1) Cold-damp on a deficient kidney-basis ( the> bodyfluid circulation > is stagnant)> -testes have cold-symptoms> -urine is clear and takes long (cold and deficiency> symptoms)> -cold feeling and pain in back and knees> -can develop from a longstanding untreated 2)> syndrom> therapy: BaojianDanguiSiniTang-formula> > 2) damp-heat in Liver-meridian> -testes and urine show damp and heat symptoms> use LongdanXieganTang-formula> > 3) accumulated clotted blood> -after tumourous/traumatic lesions> use HuoxueSanYuTang-formula> > A wrong diagnosis might lead to side effects and in> worst case might > aggravate it temporarily,> if you give nourishing and heating herbals in a> damp-heat syndrom, > that would be wrong.> But actually any proficient doctor should> differentiate easily > between 1) and 2).> > Above information can be found in books which> headlines are > translated as:> "Surgery in TCM" (ZhongYi Wai-ke), which is a WRONG> translation, and > maybe thats> why there are still no translations of these kind of> books.> You dont want 'surgery lessons' from 2000 year old> books, do you?.> Wai-Ke includes: Boils, sores, snake bites,> skin+hair+veneral > diseases, breast-tumors,> goiter, lymphnodules, proctology, andrology.> Now *you* find a good translation for 'Wai-ke', I> suggest 'Outer'-> ology.> > Greetings Tay.> > > > > > > Send your FREE holiday greetings online!http://greetings.Community email addresses: Post message: Chinese Traditional Medicine Subscribe: Chinese Traditional Medicine- Un: Chinese Traditional Medicine- List owner: Chinese Traditional Medicine-owner Shortcut URL to this page: /community/Chinese Traditional Medicine
