From my personal experience snoring is due to loose tissue because of

spleen-deficiency (liver and kidney origin/involvement and

antibiotics usage in history should be checked).

I assume Maciocia misunderstood 'noisy breathing' (as it accompanies

a sinusitis) with snoring.

Bladder (Greater Yang), Gall

Bladder (Lesser Yang), and Stomach (Bright Yang) meridians describe

the places which western medicine associates with sinus.

I took notice of this translation 'error' when I read the patent

medicine recommending:

pe min kan wan

Magnolia Flower, Xanthium Fruit, Patchouli herb, Mint, Angelica Bai

Zhi root, Honeysuckle flower, Chrysanthemum flower

These clear above channels from wind, heat, phlegm, open orifices.

This is a *pure* symptomatic remedy, which wont cure the underlying

disease mechanisms.

Noisy breathing (and the snoring that accompanies it sometimes) and

rebellious(whatever that means)Qi will be cured but above herbs use

body fluids to work, and might have a drying side-effect.

I wouldnt use above recipe for a person with only snoring without

wind/heat/phlegm affection.
