Hi Roberta, nice to red your e-mail in this forum but what happened with auriculotheraphy ? The folks of that forum wait for you. They are waiting for auricular chart that you promised. The last message has date of November 13 and it is my. Do you drop out the group? No, I can’t believe. Please, Can you red my e-mail posted in auriculotherapy and answered it. I am interested in interchange experience and learn from the auriculotherapy or auriculomedicine procedure that you work.

Roberta, the auricular, the feet, the hands, etc. are reflex zone of the body. The auricular is the most studied up to day. It has yang meridian connection. The yin meridians indirectly connect to the auricle through their corresponding Yang meridian. You can evaluate the functional state of the organs making use of reflexology because there are changes in the zone or reflex point corresponding to organs. There are change in color, pain, change in the tissues, etc. There are difference between reflex zone and acupuncture. The principle of reflex zone is that one part of whole reflexes the condition of whole or other part. One part of whole contains the whole. Any disturbance on organs or tissue (one part of whole) it is reflexes on reflex point or zone (other part of whole). It is the relation macrocosm-microcosm.

Acupuncture has the principle of the relation yin-yang, and that qi move through the channels or meridians and these channels make a complex net. Organs (zang fu organs) take out the qi from food and air then they move through the channels. Any disturbance in any zang fu organs it is reflex in the quality, quantity and flow of the qi. (blood or fluids)

In short, body acupuncture is based upon a system of 12 meridians, six yang meridians and six yin meridians, which run throughout the surface of the body as lines of energy force with connection to Zang fu organs. Ear, hands or feet reflexology is said to directly connect to yang (example in ear reflex zone) or/and yin meridians but it in not dependent upon them. Reflex zone are self-contained microsystems that affect and represent the whole body.

Acupuncture points are anatomically defined areas and they are fixed, and specific point in the skin. Specific reflex point, however, can be detected only when there is a problem in the correspondent part of the body, which that reflex point represents. It is this reflex point activation that enable to do an evaluation of the organs o tissue.

You can use bian zheng (pattern of discrimination), the traditional system of diagnostic in TCM, for to know the dysfunction of any zang fu organ and then proceed with the verification of your diagnostic with the reflex point. But you can go to the reflex point or zone and check for pain or tension that show an imbalance organ and then to proceed whit the therapy.

Re: [Chinese Traditional Medicine] Re: introducing myself to everybody plus meridians + reflexology?

Hi Manoel. Well, I don't deeply know reflexology, so I avoid to makediagnosis by using it. What I do with my pacients is to use the little Iknow to improve their health. Can you suggest me a good book of reflexology? It can be in portuguese, spanish, english or french. As it is not "my business", I have no idea ofwhat is good or bad. I'll wait for your clue. See You, Roberta-<tin-yin<Chinese Traditional Medicine >Wednesday, November 21, 2001 8:30 PM[Chinese Traditional Medicine] Re: introducing myself to everybody plus meridians+ reflexology?>> Hello Roberta and thanks for your kind reply!
