Guest guest
>http://www.lieske.com/channels/5e-liver.htm Thanks, Lee. Very thorough. For those new to TCM, note the peak hours. Each system has a time of peak activity, influence, vulnerability. For the Liver it's roughly 1 am to 3 am. For the Gall Bladder, roughly 11 pm to 1 am. Having problems at a certain time each day can be diagnostic. For example, a person who is awakened each night sometime between the hours of 1 am and 3 am with indigestion probably has a Liver imbalance. A person who awakens each night between the hours of 3 am and 5 am probably has a Lung imbalance as these are the peak hours for the Lungs. Etc. It doesn't happen very often, but sometimes treatment will have to be timed according to peak hours in order for it to be effective. Besides Liver Qi Stagnation, Liver Blood Deficiency, Liver Invading Stomach (or Spleen), Liver Yang Rising, Liver Fire Blazing, Liver Yin Deficiency, and Liver Attacking Lungs, there's also a Liver imbalance called Cold Invading the Liver Channel. Very often when this happens, the Cold will be in the area where the Liver channel flows pass the genitals.
