I've forwarded this in to the list in the hopes that list members can

provide some information. I'm adding that this woman lives in the southeast

US where it is hot and very humid. This is a fairly common problem in that

area of the US.

My notes: I suspect this is Damp Heat and/or Latent Heat. Does anyone have

any ideas?

From a non-TCM perspective I suspect that a blood purifying herb may be

needed. Also, the woman needs to be questioned about bowel movements and

diet. Too many sweets and meats - a too acidic diet - can cause many people

to be prone to infections and blemishes. Lack of regular bowel movements

also can aid infection and be a factor in various blemishes. (The system

attempts to eliminate some poisons through the skin since the body isn't

eliminating them through the bowel movements.)

Does anyone have more information on recurring boils?

Thanks,

Victoria

My ex husband used to have boils real bad and I had him take raisens with

him when he worked. He drove truck and they were very painful

I do not remember where I had heard about that (it was over 30 years ago)

but it solved his problem and he did not have boils as long as he ate

raisens.
