For example Liv 3 and 2 or St 36 and 37. Does= the efect of each needle remain the same? Some doctors (the oldest ones) sa= y that the needles just take the efect of one another. Could some one commen= t this? Thanks in advance Lourenço de Azevedo

My teachers (from Beijing) often used more than one needle on a channel. Liver 2 and 3 have an overlap in function, so I tend not to use those together. Liver 2 is more for clearing heat and Liver 3 is more for tonification of Liver Blood or Yin. Both move the Qi. Stomach 36 and 37 is much better a combination though. What effects the stomach, often effects the Large Intestine, so using those together is something that I frequently do. -- Al Stone L.Ac. <AlStone http://www.BeyondWellBeing.com Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.
