My worst heat always seems to be in the Stomach and Lungs but the Heart is quite variable. Interestingly, even with the red tip, more often than not ... my symptoms suggest cold in the Heart. Naturally it depends on what foods and herbs I take, but I seem to have to warm and moisten the Heart with Blood tonics. Dry and warm aggravates the heat yet cool and moist is far worse for me. Too bad I can't digest cooked rehmannia! I believe that this is one reason that I like cinnamon so much. It warms Heart Yang and even though drying it has a sweet property to it that seems to agree with me. I just have to be careful not to take too much. Zyzyphus is very good also. It's one of those more neutral herbs that you mentioned Victoria in an earlier post. Most of the other Heart Blood tonics create too much heat for me.
