Guest guest
We should be careful when using rose hydrosol for conjunctivitis. This herb, or whatever its classification, is supposed to be effective for that disorder but only if it's bacterial. If it's virual then it will burn the eye and should be discontinuted immediately. This would apply to any other antibiotic as well, even those prescrived in Western medicine. Guest guest
YES, SaraLou. I haven't emailed you because of all you've got going there. And because the results were negative. After two days the eye reddened, while it had been improving on its own. I read in your instructions how this would happen if the problem was virual instead of bacterial. So you have perhaps helped me to pin it down. The dr. I went to in Feb gave me an antibotic and it didn't work though there were no adverse effects. I had assumed he should have taken a culture to find WHICH bacteria it was, as I had reason to think it was bacterial. Now trying the rose hydrosol I think it's virual. However the eye has been steadily improving regardless. This is something, mind you, that started last July and at times was VERY painful. It's better than ever now and I am optimistic. Sorry to be so wordy and this clearly doesn't reduce your kindness in sending it. I did a small post on the TCM list, which you may have missed.
