I don't know that these particular issues are really addressed. Just off the top of my head, based on California law, the fees are whatever the market will bare, unless you're billing insurance in which case the fees will be 30% of whatever the market will bare. Pre-paid situaitons are not a good idea as that takes us one step away from practicing medicine and one step toward a sort of insurance product. Although it isn't without its attraction for a variety of reasons, for some reason it is against the law in CA, though I don't know which law, I was just told this. Just between you and I and the three hundred others on this list, I handle lowering the price for bulk purchases in the following manner: The first treatment in any Monday through Saturday week is the full price. The second treatment in that period is 75%, the third, they pay 50% and so on. So their price goes down the more they show up, but its always charged after the services are rendered. Collection agencies are of course an option to any practitioner who needs to get their money back. For more, and certainly people who can better answer your question, I encourage you to visit the Florida State Oriental Medicine association's website at: http://www.fsoma.com -- Al Stone L.Ac. <AlStone http://www.BeyondWellBeing.com Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional. Guest guest
I wondered about this. I am setting up a Holistic Living Program for my clients, and wanted to charge by the week, or the month. I wonder if this is illegal in NYC.?? Any ideas?
