Guest guest
http://www.healingpeople.com/ht/EN/articles/2000/3/23/724.tmpl This is information on various anemias. There are only 3 references to sickle cell anemia in the article. I found the dietary recommendations especially interesting. Note the reference to cold water fish. Cold water fish are high in omega-3 EFAs (Essential Fatty Acids). Omega-3 EFAs tilt the body towards making more of the " good " prostaglandins (PGs) than the " bad " PGs. The " bad " PGs are involved in things like fevers, sensation of pain, inflammation, etc. Some of the symptoms of SCA are fever and pain. (The words good and bad are in quotes because sometimes the body needs the " bad " PGs in order to survive and there is such a thing as too many of the " good " PGs causing problems.) Yams in general are tonic to the kidneys and adaptogen in nature. Some yams have Qi tonic properties. The reason why yams caught my attention will become more apparent when we look at Jing disorders and how they often are related to the Kidneys. There is some supplement information on SCA. I know nothing about color therapy. Victoria _______________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
