I approach it like this: Qi deficiency has certain signs and symptoms.

If we add signs or symptoms of cold, then we call it a Yang deficiency.

Unfortunately, a lot of books don't present it that straightforward.<G>

 

Readers, this is a good explanation. Yang Deficiency is Qi Deficiency with

symptoms of Cold. I would add, " and much, much worse fatigue. "
