Guest guest
http://216.92.231.121/Herbology/Chemo.htm This is a more detailed article on using TCM to help with the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation. In the previous article we saw that TCM has 4 applications in complimentary cancer therapy: To correct the original imbalance(s) which allowed the cancer to develop, " to offset the damaging side-effects of radiation and chemotherapy, " to help restore the immune system, and to reduce the tumor. Sometimes these functions will overlap. For example if Qi Deficiency was an original imbalance, astragalus not only is a Qi tonic, it helps the immune system. " Vacuity " is another way of saying " Deficiency " or " Emptiness " . " Liver Depression " is another way of saying Liver Qi Stagnation. Yin Deficiency (Vacuity) is one of the main things to watch out for as a side effect of chemotherapy and radiation.
