Guest guest
Hello to all. Usually, I am a lurker on this list. If anyone is interested in using essential oils and TCM there is also a book out.. written by Jeffrey Yuen called Materia Medica of Essential Oils (Based on a Chinese Medical Perspective). I have had the honor of attending some of Jeffrey's lectures here in NYC. He gives lectures at the New School in the Village and also at the Swedish Institute in Manhattan. He is also speaking atthe PIA conference in San Fran in Nov. If you ever have an opportunity to attend his lectures you will not be disappointed. Thanks for this info. I'm always on the lookout for good TCM and TCM-related books to improve my healing skills. I'll be making another interlibrary loan request.<G> I encourage members to post information on their favorite TCM topics. Most of the members on here - including myself - want to learn all they can on every aspect of TCM. There are so many ways to help someone heal. One thing I do and I encourage other members to do is if another member has a specieal interest in a specific problem, if I run across any articles or information on the subject, I post the information or forward the article in. I found another " goldmine " website yesterday - the Institute for Traditional Medicine in Portland, OR. I printed out some of their articles and am in the process of going through them before forwarding the links over to here. There's a particularly good one on " Getting Qi " that will be very helpful for readers planning to study acupuncture or those thinking of are currently seeing an acupuncturist. There's an article on the best time of day to take herbs, one on cupping, one on Raynaud's Disease (and Syndrome - severe problems with circulation due to Cold), an article on Attention Deficit Disorder, and some other goodies.
