Guest guest
>Judy, which points do you use? Holding or massaging Small Intestine 3, a large heating pad over the shoudlers, a smaller heating pad over the Sea of Vitality area (Bladder 23 and 47). Sometimes I have to use massage on the back. The points on the upper back vary. Sometimes I need to concentrate massage in the area to the outside of the shoulder blades, sometimes to an area between the blades and spine. The Sea of Vitality area is always sore when I have these headaches, especially the B 23 points, and in particular right B23. B23 on the right tends to be a little sore even when I don't have a headache. It's interesting that most of my headaches are on the right side, and the ones on the right are always worse than the ones on the left. If the headache has progressed to the point where I have nausea, the area between my fourth and fifth toe bones is very, very sore. I also feel like I need to have a bowel movement but can't. When a headache gets to the nausea stage, I can't knock it out quickly and easily with SI3, the heating pad and massage in the shoulder area, and B23 and B47. So far I haven't discovered what else I need to do when the nausea stage is reached. The formula Minor Blue Dragon also gives quick relief. The neck and upper back muscles on the side that I have the headache on get very stiff and sore. You can feel the difference in the muscles between the side that has the headache and the side that doesn't. For many years I was putting a heating pad over my head and neck. This helped and it did reduce the duration of the headache down to a day or so. Heat was helping. But it was years later that I discovered the heat needed to be on the shoulders and on the area of the waist (just below and just to the side of the spine). When I discovered the acupressure points, it was like >water going down a drain (the sensation for me was of the headache quickly >draining away) or air coming out of a balloon. Within seconds the headache >is gone (if I catch it in the TaiYang stage). Judy, which points do you use?
