Dear Group,

The online acupuncture charts at healingpeople.com (formerly

Acupuncture.com) are somewhat imprecise and mostly just rough drawings.

Does anyone know of a site with better pictures of acupuncture sites?

I've probably visited about a dozen different acupuncture sites so far

and haven't found any with good, online charts.

Thanks.

Sam

Hi Sam,

Online, not a clue.

I study two traditions of shiatsu; Mi Zai Shiatsu and Ohashiatsu.

Though an emphasis is made in these two traditions on the traditional

meridians and Masunaga's theory of the meridians, in what I know of

these 2 traditions, we do make some use of tsbos for diagnosis and

treatment.

What I've found through my study of shiatsu and reaffirmed through

asking lots of questions when I get acupuncture is the location of a

tsubo is not necessarily written in stone.

Yes there are explanations using body measurements how to find them but,

when it get down to the nitty gritty, the practitioner needs to be

receptive to the energetic conversation the receiver presents.

To get a general idea where the tsubo will be from a picture, ok, but

nothing can replace actually finding it on a body.

They present themselves.

That said, in hard copy I like " An Outline of Chinese Acupunture "

pubished by Foreign Language Press. Its in Chinese and English so I have

to write in the Japanese names but I bought it a couple years ago for

$19. and at that price such a small issue is no hassle.

Blessed Be,

Penel
