Guest guest
Chinese needles have a pine shape tip whilst Japanese have a very sharp tip. The pine shape has a very gradual sharpening to the point to prevent hooking which can cause the patient pain, and is more practical for deeper muscle insertion, especially when the needle hits some bone or tense muscle. The very sharp thin tip needle helps with easy insertion, and is good for superficial points.
