Guest guest
This info is taken from Tongue Diagnosis in Chinese Medicien by Biovanni Maciocia. When Maciocia uses the term " moving tongue " , he's talking about a tongue which moves slowly from side to side when extended, or it moves without stopping and can only be extended to show a small area of the tongue. The tongue moves slowly but with wide amplitude. Wide amplitude means it ranges from one side of the mouth to the other. In contrast, a " quivering tongue " moves rapidly but doesn't range from side to side. It more or less stays in the same general area and trembles or vibrates. A red, moving tongue can indicate Heart Fire and Internal Wind. If the tongue is moving, read, and dry, this may indicate Spleen Heat with exhaustion of body fluids. A quivering tongue that is also pale can indicate Spleen Qi Deficiency. (This is even more likely if there also are teeth marks.) If the tongue is quivering and red, this may indicate extreme Heat generating Internal Wind. A quivering tongue which is pale also can indicate Collapse of Heart and Spleen Qi. (The way that you differenciate Spleen Qi Deficiency from the more severe problem of Collapse of Spleen (and Heart) Qi is other symptoms that are present. A quivering tongue that is pale and also thin can indicate Collapse of Yang. Victoria --== Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ ==-- Before you buy.
