Guest guest
>Moxa as Victoria stated is generally used for cold (and works well) I have also used it for menstrual discomfort and infertility. Ginger tea can work wonders on menstrual cramps caused by Cold. Even the bottled ginger you buy in the spice section of the supermarket can do this. The dose is between 1/8 and 1/4 teaspoon per cup of hot water. Just stir it in. (Dried ginger has Hot energy; raw ginger has Warm energy. Dry ginger is best for warming the Interior; raw ginger is best for Exterior conditions. BTW, dry ginger is contraindicated for pregnant women. Use raw ginger very cautiously when ginger is used to treat morning sickness in pregnant women.) >Again these things are generally related to cold. Moxa is said to give Qi and you can even rub the ashes on points to stimulate them. In cases of inflammation where heat is theraputic Moxa can be very helpful. Thanks. I didn't know it had this use.
