A blue tongue in a pregnant woman can be a sign that she is in imminent danger

of losing the baby. This is especially true if her face is also red.

 

The treatment is to use herbs or acupuncture to tonify and warm the Qi and

Blood.

 

Do check to make sure the blue tongue isn't from eating blue berries or some

other food that stains blue.

 

A blue tongue in anyone can be a sign of severe inner Cold and Blood Stasis. In

a pregnant woman this can be fatal to a fetus.

 

If the tongue is blue and the mother's face is red, the baby's life may be in

danger. If the mother's tongue is red and her face is blue, this may be a sign

that her life is in danger.
