Guest guest
Bilateral meridians means that there are branches of the meridian on both the left and right side of the body. For example, the Lung meridian is found on both the right and the left arms. The Kidney meridian starts on both the sole of the right foot and the sole of the left foot. The right branch goes up the inside surface of the right leg and continues on the front of the body to the right of the midline. The left branch of the Kidney goes up the inside surface of the left leg and continues on the front of the body to the left of the midline. All the organ system meridians are bilateral. The Liver and Gallbladder meridians, the Heart and Small Intestine, the Triple Warmer and Pericardium, the Spleen and Stomach, the Lung and Large Intestine, and the Kidney and Bladder meridians. The Strange Flow meridians are not bilateral. There is only one Conception Vessel (Yin) running up the midline of the front of the body. There is only one Governor Vessel (Yang) running up the middle of the back, going over the head, and down the middle of the face to terminate just above the upper lip.
