Guest guest
Hello everyone, I just joined this group yesterday and have been reading everything I can about Oleander soup. Here is my fathers story, I will try to condense it. A little more than a month ago, my 65 year old father got sick. He takes Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg/day for blood pressure and Metoprolol Tartrate 25 mg twice a day for his heart. He was experiencing nausea, vomiting, and severe fatique. He was unable to keep almost anything down and lost almost 30 pounds in three weeks before he let my sister and I take him to the ER at the VA hospital about 30 miles away. Chest X-ray showed something in his lower left lung. Cat scan the next day confirmed this and also found something in his liver and both kidneys. Brocoscopy/biopsy performed and confirmed lung mass was small cell lung cancer. They sent him home with Hydrocodone 5/ Acetaminophen 500mg. He will take two or three of these a day. Nausea has subsided but he will still barely eat anything. We were told they probably will not operate and may want to try radiation or radiation/chemo, but he does not see the specialist until Nov. 4th. I have been reading about Alternative therapies and oleander in particular for three days straight now. This morning I took clippings off of a neighbors oleander bush with white flowers. I am following the recipe exactly and they are now in the pot, not yet boiling. Any suggestions, tips, or helpful links you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Right now I am looking into possible interactions with any of his current medications. So far whenever I mention oleander the first thing people say is, " But it is POISONOUS! " Thanks in advance, Celia

Guest guest
Hi Celia. Smile at the people and say " why yes, it IS poisonous in its RAW state, but not once it has been boiled for 6 hours. After that amount of time, what you have left is a powerful anticancer medicine. It's kind of like castor oil. The castor oil plant is highly toxic in its raw form, but when the seeds are pressed, you have a wonderful, perfectly safe medicine that has been used for hundreds if not thousands of years. Kind of like oleander has " . If your pot lid is tight you won't loose quite as much as the recipe says. It's a bit spooky the first time, but you'll get the hang of it. I've just made my third batch. I've found, for me at least, that it is best to let the brown liquid sit overnight in the fridge. Then in the morning take it out and I let mine come back to room temp. Then I poured it off into another pot, and left the dregs in the first pot. If you pour carefully you won't loose much liquid, and when you strain it the filters won't get as clogged. The first 2 batches I didn't do that and by the time I got to the coffee filter strainers, the top 2 would get clogged with a clearish sludge. This time I didn't get any. samala,Renee On Thu, Oct 30, 2008 at 4:47 PM, cc_racer <cc_racer wrote: Any suggestions, tips, or helpful links you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Guest guest
Hi Celia,Welcome to our group.First of all, Oleander is highly toxic in its raw state. Once made into an extract, the "soup," it has marvelous healing qualities. The only medications that oleander interferes with is digitalis/digoxin and blood thinners such as Coumadin.Let me give you the links for the soup, which I assume you already have, but just in case. The Recipe for Oleander Soup Part 1 The Recipe for Oleander Soup Part 2 - Tips and AdviceYou just need to follow the recipe to the letter and if you have any questions, just pop in and one of us will reply to you.I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I want to let you know that I strongly advise against radiation as too often the cancer spreads to other parts of the body. Your story rings bells and brought memories back of my own dad. He, too, was in a very weakened state, even too weak for chemo (at the time I knew absolutely nothing about natural alternatives). We were told that radiation would take care of the problem. Well it did in the designated area, but the problem was that it spread throughout the body and nothing could be done after that. He was put on hospice. I hear this story much too often. And I always advise against chemo, as chemo does nothing but further compromise an already impaired immune system and destroys the organs. It comes with its devastating side effects and frankly, your dad sounds like he is very ill. Could he withstand this? What would his quality of life be like?I am glad that you have decided to immediately make the soup. Please follow exact instructions and follow exact instructions on the first dosage and increasing it after that. Again, any questions or concerns, please post them.I am going to include the link to Tony's article, A Natural Anti-Cancer Protocol. Follow all the suggestions here too and this will give your dad a full arsenal to fight his cancer. This whole protocol addresses cancer at its source, the immune system and focuses on strengthening it.A Natural Anti-Cancer ProtocolBe sure and follow the directions on how to take it. Under the tongue, where there are no taste buds and wash it down with juice. Pomegranet juice is good but make sure you are getting 100% juice. Also, take sugar out of his diet. Cancer feeds on sugar. Go to a totally raw diet and he will benefit from juicing. Let me give you a link to an article found in Natural News on juice feasting. This would be ideal for your dad.http://www.naturalnews.com/022368.html I wish you and your dad the best of everything. Please don't hesitate to ask questions or post anything at all. We are here to support you and your dad.Warm regards, oleander soup , "cc_racer" <cc_racer wrote:>> Hello everyone, I just joined this group yesterday and have been > reading everything I can about Oleander soup. Guest guest
Thanks so much for the quick responses. I forgot to ask in the first post if I should go ahead and buy the eBook. I will do that tonight. I will also be reading the different links mentioned. Also a quick question: Can I make the soup in the crock pot? I can't really think of any reason it would be different than stove top, but just thought I would ask. I would also be grateful for any prayers sent my way.......... Thanks Again! You will gain a new perspective on cancer, its cause and the way to healing. As for cooking the soup in a crockpot, no, follow the precise directions. Guest guest
Hello everyone and thanks again for the responses and prayers (keep em comin please!). I finished up the soup on Friday and started giving my dad 1/4 tsp morning and night on Saturday morning. I cut the soup 50/50 with apple cider vinegar and was unclear as to the dose after that. Should I have doubled the dose? He has not had any adverse reactions to the OS, but is of course still not doing well. I also started giving him a multi-vitamen, and got some coQ10 with fish oil that I would like for him to take. He is not eating anything but will drink water so I got him some with electrolytes in it. Does all of this sound OK? Another question: When we see the Doc and Oncologist on Tuesday, should I let them know about the OS? How do doctors generally feel on this subject? If I tell him, do you think he will take it in stride and tell us to keep it up or might he have the negative reaction most people have when I mention Oleander? Any recommendations? Thanks Again, Celia
Guest guest
Hi Celia,So glad your dad has not had any adverse reactions to the soup. Here are instructions on dosage. Follow the instructions as to how to increase the dosage."Begin slowly, with small amounts, increasing slowly as your system adapts. Begin with ¼ to ½ of a teaspoon two or three times a day after meals, work up slowly, a week at a time, until you reach 1 tablespoon three times a day after meals. Side effects are normally fairly mild, especially when compared to standard chemo or radiation therapy side effects, and vary from one individual to another. Some people report little or no side effects at all. Typical side effects for those who do experience them can include mild fever, headache, diarrhea, nausea and sometimes, vomiting. Usually these effects go away in a couple of weeks or so, as the body adjusts to the oleander soup. After a month or so, perhaps much less, you should be up to tolerating the full dose (1 Tablespoon 3 times per day) with minimum reaction. The dosage may vary with individual use, depending upon body weight and sensitivity, and taking a little more is not harmful, but might increase diarrhea."As to telling your dad's oncologist about oleander soup, some doctors are open to alternative measures. Others are not. Hopefully, he will support you in what you are doing. However, he may very well be against it and possibly inform you of "dangers" of taking oleander soup. You can't tell from doctor-to-doctor. If this should happen, please don't let him scare you. Oleander in its raw form is indeed toxic. However, when made into the soup it is a marvelous healer. Your dad most definitely needs oleander soup, together with Tony's anti-cancer protocol.Hugs, oleander soup , "cc_racer" <cc_racer wrote:>> Hello everyone and thanks again for the responses and prayers (keep em > comin please!). Guest guest
We went to the doctor today. She said that without treatment someone with this kind of cancer could live about 10-12 months as it is aggressive and fast growing. She said chemo could double or triple life expectancy. He has a lot of calcium in his blood which they say is causing all of his symptoms. She gave him something for his nausea and pain patches instead of pills. Hopefully this will make him able to keep something down. He has not been taking the OS because of the awful taste and the fact that he will just throw it up again. Hopefully we can resume the OS quickly. I did not mention the OS to the doctor. He has not decided on if he wants to do the chemo or not. I don't think he is in a state of mind to make any decisions right now. They want him to make a decision as soon as possible, but I would like for him to wait until he feels better. We will support any decision that he makes. I just thought I would update this post. Please keep any suggestions and prayers coming. I really believe in the power of prayer. Guest guest
Hello and again thanks for the tips and suggestions. I looked at the links and don't like what I see about chemo at all. I am reading all that I can so that I can help my dad make a decision about it. The decision is not mine to make, but I know that my opinion carries weight with my Dad. The pain patch and anti nausea medicine seem to be helping quite a bit. He ate a bowl of cream of wheat for breakfast, two cups of chicken broth during the day (salt is supposed to help his body flush extra calcium from his blood), and a few bites of mashed potatos for dinner. He kept it all down! This excited my sister and I as that is more than he has eaten in a week or two. He is still drinking lots of water. He is still very weak. He has lost almost 60 pounds in about 6 weeks. He is also miserable because the pain meds have constipated him and he has had hemorroids for years. He cannot really sit up due to the hemorroids pain, but hopefully this will lessen after he has a bowl movement. Hopefully he will feel better tomorrow and we can discuss what he wants to do. I don't really think he has givin it much thought so far. We definately need to restart the OS and the rest of the protocol! Thanks again and please keep the good stuff comin! Celia P.S. Does anyone know about this calcium in the blood situation? Anything else we can do about it?
Guest guest
For the hemorrhoids you can take a potato grind it and put it on it, but you need to put a plastic paper so it won’t dirty his pants.
Guest guest
Celia,I am so glad your dad is doing better. I do hope that he does not opt for the chemo, but I understand that it is his decision. I am just afraid, especially in his weakened condition how the chemo will ravage his body. Please take this into consideration and try to explain it to your dad. I have great faith in Oleander and Tony's protocol and, yes, although I cannot say it is a "magic bullet" the success stories cannot be ignored. I would also introduce juicing. I believe I posted the link earlier, but if you need it again, let me know and I will repost. As for the hemorrhoids, let me post the home remedy found in The Best Years in Life and hopefully this will give him relief./Hemorrhoids.htm Yes, please start the OS and the rest of the protocol as soon as possible. This will only help to boost his immune system which he needs so badly. Please keep us posted Celia, and I am so happy to hear of his improvement.Hugs, oleander soup , "cc_racer" <cc_racer wrote:>> Hello and again thanks for the tips and suggestions. My Introduction For the hemorrhoids you can take a potato grind it and put it on it, but you need to put a plastic paper so it won’t dirty his pants. Keep repeating it. My Introduction Hello and again thanks for the tips and suggestions. I looked at the links and don't like what I see about chemo at all. I am reading all that I can so that I can help my dad make a decision about it. The decision is not mine to make, but I know that my opinion carries weight with my Dad.
