There's much controversy re Fosamax. Google "fosamax class action suit". Search results start here http://www.google.com/search?hl=en & rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox & rlz=1I7SUNA & q=fosomax+class+action+suit & start=10 & sa=N

Here's a site with some info on more recent status of lawsuits http://www.newsinferno.com/archives/2347

The story I heard is that it strengthens bones by plasticizing them.

Yuk!

Thanks for the info TonyMy wife was going to take Fosamax, however she went to her chiropractor and he advised her not to take it. It has too many side effects. At the moment she takes a liquid supplement called Calcium Magnesium Citrate with vitamin D.Love in JesusIan--- On Fri, 3/10/08, Tony > wrote:

My aunt was taking Fosamax, a truly evil drug, until I talked her out ofit - and she was slowly becoming paralyzed and hardly able to get out ofbed or stand. Some people have said Fosamax will be the next Vioxxscandal. My aunt switched to a supplement which contained calcium, magensium, zinc, ostivone and trace minerals and is now fine - thankfully thereappears to be no lasting damage. I would also recommend boron, vitaminD3, iodine and plenty of raw dark green leafy vegetables (such asspinach) in your diet. Exercise also helps strengthen and protect boneloss.Tonyoleander soup, "violet1946" <sweetviolets01@ ...>wrote:>> I stopped taking Fosamax a few months ago, have had chemo and it> has did a number on my teeth and now my bones.
