This may also have an inpact on the ability to edit the reply---I read

a thread on another forum and the answer was that if you are

reading your posts via email, it matters which way you reply.

If you reply from " reply via web post " supposedly you may not be able

to edit the reply---perhaps the settings may affect that aspect as

well, iow, if you are set to traditional or use palin text, maybe this

is not an issues no matter how you reply?

I always go to the " messages in this subject " and open up the forum to

that thread before replying. I do this so I can read all the expanded

messages and not miss something or post something that has already been

posted. So I've never had this issue.
