Guest guest
I took 5htp for sleep but it also says is good for depression too and this one is a natural supplement. It is strictly from the griffonia seed, something one might check into if interested. Hugs, Bonnie & ACodyNew MapQuest Local shows what's happening at your destination. Guest guest
I take SAM-e for my joints as well as my brain and liver. I also have found I need to take other natural anti-depressants that are not as expensive so I take inositol, and lithium orotate. Most people think of bipolar disease when they hear of lithium, but small doses of orotate are found to stop and reverse age related brain deterioration as well as having an anti-depressant effect. Both inositol and lithium are very inexpensive compared to SAM-e. They all work by increasing serotonin. I have also taken 5HTP with good results but again it's an expensive product. SSRI drugs that block the reuptake are doing something very unnatural to your system. I have seen the effects of Paxil on others. My current landlady used to be very creative always working on some craft project or other. Since she started on the Paxil I notice she just watches a lot of tv when she's home. I had to move out of the last place I lived as my housemate decided that Paxil was making her stupid and detached from life. Although she was put on another drug to help wean her off it she became extremely anxious and paranoid and threatened me with bodily harm. My sister used to be on Paxil but I sent her enough articles on its dangers that she got off it and is taking inositol and finding that works for her. oleander soup , evian793 wrote: > > I took 5htp for sleep but it also says is good for depression too and this > one is a natural supplement. My doctor put me on Paxil once and I went off off of it in a weeks time. I hate any prescribed anti depressants. I felt like a zombie on it so am guessing I never needed it in the first place. I feel doctor's write prescriptions for these things way too often and esp. for children! All you have to say is i'm feeling a little depressed over something and whala you have a prescription for an antidepressant. I think they need to get to the root of what is causing all this depression before they suppress it! Hugs, Bonnie & ACodyNew MapQuest Local shows what's happening at your destination. Guest guest
lithium orotate if I am not mistaken can cause problems in your kidneys so maybe doing a kidney cleanse or drinking watermelon seed tea for a whole day or eating watermelon for a whole day may help tke the laod of your kidneys? Guest guest
Hi Gerald, I buy the lithium on line as health and vitamin stores usually don't stock it but can order it. I just search on line for the best price. I am taking 135 mb tablets which is a much lower dose than for bipolar disease (manic depressive). Here's an article on it: http://www.mwt.net/~drbrewer/brainfunction1.htm Ruth oleander soup , " gerald.fiore " <Dukka88 wrote: > > HI Ruth, > > Where do you buy your nutrients?
