Guest guest
I think this is a tough one, first of all the doc speak about SAMe and the way this seems to works is to increase prodcuction of serotonin whilst Paxil etc inhibits the re-uptake of serotonin, I am not so sure that they are the same thing, if blocking the re-uptake does the trick then nomatter how much serotonin producing herb you take it will not work. I remember taking st johns wort, kava kava, both did nothing to depression and anxiety, didn't even touch it. The fact is that Paxil etc do work! Some have a bad time on them and especially withdrawal needs to be done carefully, i.e. tapering off, the info on the nutrients is good though and am taking magnesium, calcium , b vits, etc and so when I next try tapering off I will be beefed up with many nutrients and doing exercise and getting sun and then see how it goes. Guest guest
Paxil, Prozac and others may indeed work for some people, but they work unnaturally and all in all they are abominations like most other pharmaceuticals in that they do their jobs by forcing the body to perform in an unnatural manner and come with terrible side effects and/or withdrawals. Too often what mainstream medicine does is to produce a patentable drug not found in nature which manages symptoms and requires long term use while having side effects that create further conditions that lead to still more drugs. As I have often stated, it is a great profit model when your only marketplace is our bodies, but it is a horrible model for health and humanity. I am firmly convinced that if only research were not limited to unnatural compounds, synthetics and patentable isolates not found in nature, we would likely find better natural alternatives to just about every approved medication there is. A good general rule is when you put something in your body that is not found in nature, bad things are likely to happen. " I firmly believe that if the whole materia medica could be sunk to the bottom of the sea, it would be all the better for mankind, and all the worse for the fishes. " - Oliver Wendell Holmes " Nature alone can cure disease. Doctors cannot heal. They can only direct the sufferer back to the pathways of health. Nature alone can create, and healing is re-creation.
